Genuine VW Krytox Roof Lubricant (G052172A1)
Krytox™Â is a high performance, fully fluorinated oil that provides excellent lubrication over a wide temperature range and unmatched chemical resistance. It is used to avoid squeaking and creaking noises and is used wherever permanent and reliable avoidance of background noise is required.

Krytox™Â makes all hardened rubber seals soft and supple again through gentle swelling. In addition, a significantly improved sealing of the sealing surface is achieved through hydrophobic treatment (water-displacing property), and water and moisture can no longer penetrate. The fluid is just as effective for the long-term avoidance and prevention of squeaking and creaking noises from rubber seals in vehicle interiors. The Krytox®-Fluid is silicone-free and therefore non-hardening. Rubber seals remain soft and supple.

This unique base oil is 100% non-flammable and will not support combustion even in 100% liquid or gaseous oxygen environments. The applied lubricant is non-migratory and ideal for automotive applications, vehicle sealing, sunroof and sunroof lubrication.

Important note before application
Â
The surface must be clean and dry before applying this lubricating oil – free of wax, silicone etc. Denatured alcohol or glass cleaner can be used as a solvent before application to achieve this. – The application quantities must be minimal.
